Together we make Calgary a great place to make a living, a great place to make a life. values The City of Calgary As a Rock Climbing Instructor, you will design, plan and provide instruction in recreational rock-climbing programs to help participants develop their skill base and knowledge in this area. Primary duties include: Teach basic skills to participants through sharing of knowledge base. Develop designs, plans, and resources for program. Provide safety expertise and ensure well-being of participants. Prepare and maintain equipment, supplies, and program space. Maintain program records and assist with program evaluation. Qualifications Must be a minimum of 16 years of age. A minimum of 1 year of lead climbing experience. Current Standard First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) level “C”, and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certifications. Previous leadership and instructional experience in rock climbing. Effective communication skills along with a strong customer service orientation. Certified Rock Climbing Instructors must have a minimum of 2 years of lead climbing experience.
