We are looking for a multi-talented marketing professional who is excited about sustainability and being part of a team that will help set the standard for ecologically-friendly communities around the world.

Reporting into the Manager, Marketing and Sales, Blatchford, and with a focus on our Cultural Commitments to Safe, Helpful, Accountable, Integrated and Excellent, you will:

  • Assist the Manager, Marketing and Sales, with developing and implementing an integrated, research based marketing strategy to support land sales

  • Support and collaborate on advancing Blatchford’s brand to ensure the community is optimally positioned in Edmonton’s housing market

  • Support and seek out opportunities to advance the reputation of the project and the City locally, nationally and internationally

  • Assist in the development of market research plans to inform both Business to Consumer and Business to Business marketing strategies

  • Build, manage and implement a content/editorial calendar to proactively tell the Blatchford story through a variety of channels

  • Lead the social media strategy to increase brand awareness and loyalty

  • Manage suppliers and consultants to ensure products meet business objectives and are on or under budget

  • Support the day-to-day marketing and sales work, including consistently analyzing the effectiveness of strategies and tactics and implementing continuous improvement measures as needed

  • Qualifications


  • University degree in a marketing, commerce, communications, public relations or related field

  • Accreditation in the Canadian Marketing Association (CMA), International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) or Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS) would be an asset

  • A minimum four years of progressively responsible experience in integrated marketing

  • An additional one year related experience in the area of real estate, business to business marketing, sustainability or brand and reputation marketing

  • Experience working with City Council and/or experience on high profile projects or initiatives

  • Solid experience in developing, implementing and evaluating tactical brand plans, brand marketing campaigns and/or corporate marketing programs

  • Demonstrated experience in drawing insight from marketing research (qualitative and quantitative) to identify gaps and develop plans for capturing opportunities

  • Experience in brand journalism, reputation management, experiential marketing, content marketing, digital marketing and vendor management

  • Strong knowledge in both traditional and new marketing and communications mediums; strong social media savvy

  • Exceptional consulting and relationship building skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to present new ideas effectively to teams and leadership; ability to write content for various audiences and channels

  • Ability to share and adopt innovative approaches and conceptualize solutions

  • Ability to self motivate and work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment

  • Team experience working in a business environment or a large, complex organization

  • Flexible to working outside of office hours, including weekends when needed

    Up to one temporary position for up to 18 months with an expected end date after 12 months

    Hours of Work:
    33.75 hours per week, Monday – Friday.

    $47.103 – $59.072 (Hourly) ; $82,983.710 – $104,070.100 (Annually)
